The best lesson we can learn from cats, whether great or small, is to relish the now, to pounce upon each day like the gift it is and to free ourselves, if only briefly and only occasionally, from the prisons of the future and the past.  From the tiniest kitten in your lap to the grandest lion in the African savannah, now is all there is.  We must learn to relish it, in reverence, in gratitude and in joy.
